About Us
We see you…
…and want to share your story with the world.
Transit Productions was founded in 2021 with the mission to tell important, impactful and diverse LGBTQIA+ narratives—led by a talented team of trans and queer creatives.
Since then, our work has evolved from drag and nightlife to life events, fashion and dance films, YouTube shows and narrative shorts—with over 4 million cross-platform views.
As a collective of queer and trans artists, we understand the power of being able to tell our own stories—now, more than ever. Lets us help you tell yours.
How it all started.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, bars closed down and drag went digital. When Chicago drag artist Regina Rodriguez (Irregular Girl) and filmmaker Masen Colucci met, they bonded over a passion for filmmaking—and the inherent power of trans artists telling their own stories.
Footage of their first few digital numbers made a splash in the scene, and it wasn’t much longer until they got a call that would establish Transit as a new, exciting collective.
100%…
When RuPaul’s Drag Race stars Denali Foxx and Kahmora Hall reached out, they didn’t know their now-viral video would break the internet.
A team quickly sprung to action, led by Rodriguez and Colucci, plus Transit members Sarah Gaglione, Dylan Bragassa—and later Brady Furlich. The team worked tirelessly to ensure the video was seamless, coordinating over 40 Chicago drag performers over two days to create a one-of-a-kind video love letter to Chicago’s thriving nightlife scene.
Chicago Drag Excellence has been viewed over 2 million times on YouTube, and inspired similar challenge videos in drag scenes across the world—from Seattle to Houston, Denver, Connecticut, Portland, Nashville, Los Angeles, Spain and the Philippines.
